It was in the country and very peaceful
When arriving there is really no reception. 4 cottages in a paddock. Not knowing where to book in. The cottage needs a little care and attention and then it would be lovely and relaxing to stay in. Our stay would had been much nice if the electric fly pan and barbeque had been cleaned.

We stayed in a cozy cottage with a nice spa bath and a great view of the vineyards. The location was convenient, with plenty of vineyards nearby. The bedrooms were clean and the bed linen was fresh. We enjoyed having the kitchen and BBQ on the deck for nighttime catering. The pet-friendly policy was a bonus, and our greyhound loved exploring the area and meeting the horses.
The lack of ice cube trays in the freezer was a minor inconvenience.

For the price, we got excellent value for our money with a well-equipped and spacious cottage in a beautiful location. The staff at the property were friendly, efficient, and went above and beyond, offering us an early check-in and even a complimentary late check-out.
Breakfast delights could be improved with a wider variety of options.

The cottage we stayed in was in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature. We loved waking up to the sound of birds and having kangaroos and ducks right outside our doorstep. The peaceful atmosphere was exactly what we needed. Additionally, the cottage was well-equipped and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
There were a few maintenance issues that affected our experience. The cleanliness of the cottage could have been improved, as we found some stains on the carpet and had to wash the crockery before using it.

We had a wonderful stay at Madigan Cottages. It truly felt like a home away from home, offering privacy and comfort. Waking up to hot air balloons each morning was a delightful bonus. The peaceful and tranquil surroundings, including lakes, trees, kangaroos, and horses. The Australiana cottage loft room was a hit with the kids, and the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The cottage itself was even bigger than expected, perfect for two couples or a larger group. Colleen and Trent were super helpful and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Madigan Cottages to anyone seeking self-contained accommodation in the Hunter Valley.
100% Recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing time in this city! The hotel's location was fantastic, only minutes away from great restaurants and wineries. The property itself was perfect for families, with plenty of open space and even horses to watch and pat. The fire pits were a wonderful addition, allowing us to enjoy local wine and cheese while cozying up around the fire. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with well-equipped kitchen facilities. The host was extremely responsive and we highly recommend this property for its value and comfort.
Nothing, it was perfect.
